Fly Sun Valley is the only fully insured and pemitted paragliding operation of the Sun Valley Resort, conducting flights in cooperation with the Sun Valley Company and through an exclusive commercial permit issued by the US Forest Service.
Tandem flights are our specialty....With no prior experience, you can soar the skies over Sun Valley with a professional USHPA certified paragliding tandem instructor. Just a few easy strides and you will be gliding through the air, securely connected and comfortably seated next to your pilot/instructor. From the slopes of Bald Mountain, (top of the Sun Valley Resort), our simple and unique aircraft smoothly lifts into the air — there is no "jumping off" any mountain cliff. Once airborne, enjoy the incredible and exhilarating sensation of flight. Our pilot operated cameras are ready to record this wonderful experience and the fantastic mountain scenery of Idaho.

Girls on the Run of the Wood River Valley is an after-school program for 3rd - 8th grade girls that uses the power of running to help prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. Through interactive activities such as running, playing games, and discussing important issues, participants learn how to celebrate being girls. The program focuses on building self-esteem and improving emotional and physical health. During the 10-week program, girls are empowered with a greater self-awareness, a sense of achievement and a foundation in team building to help them become strong, contented and self-confident young women.

Located right in Ketchum on the block behind NexStage Theatre! Owner Deida Runswick and her fun crew of instructors offer arts & crafts workshops, cooking classes, summer camps & birthday parties! Classes range from toddler, elementary to tweens and adult classes coming this fall! SUMMER CAMPS are 4 days in length and have fantastic themes such as Fairies in the Garden Camp, Harvest Camp, Culinary Camp, Fashion Camp and more! We also do great birthday parties, fully planned and customized to your child's wishes. Recently we have done chocolate making, tea parties, princess, pirate and Pinkalicious! The Environmental Resource Center is a non-profit (501c3) membership organization dedicated to serving the Wood River Valley by promoting a more sustainable environment through community education, awareness and participation.
Our summer programs for kids include four overnight camps (EcoCamps)in July and August, held at the Central Idaho 4H Camp. These are CSI EcoCamp, Liquid Life, and Charting the Unknown for rising grades 4-6 and Wild Art (in partnership with the Sun Valley Center for the Arts) for rising grades 7-9. ERC also offers free day camps in partnership with the Hunger Coalition (Wild Lunch)and the Sun Valley Summer Symphony (Wild Notes). We also have the popular Shooting Star Sleep-out slated for August 13 during the Perseid Meteors. Full descriptions of these programs, as well as stories about the ERC in the classroom, can be found on the ERC website, www.ercsv.org.

This weekend, the hubby and I went on a double date to Ketchum's lastest and greatest restaurant---Sego. We dropped the kids off at the monthly YMCA's Saturday Sitters and enjoyed the next 3 hours of adult time.
We have heard mixed reviews about Sego, so I was ready to experience it all and form my own opinion. We arrived at around 6:30 and the restaurant had about 5 other couples there. Apparently, we beat the rush. We were greeted promptly by several people--one to take our coats, one to pour our wine, one to pour our water and our waitress to tell us about the specials. So far so good! As of last night, Sego had not received their liquor license, but they were hoping that this is the week. For the mean time, they charge a $15 cork fee per bottle.
